This 5.5 gallon glass aquarium is considered to be "Low Tech"*, heavily planted, and fully cycled**. Starting with a required leak test, then back into our lab for design and elements to include in the build. Starting with Fluval Stratum & Bio-Stratum substrate topped with Aqua Natural Black Diamond sand and Polished Black Mexican Beach Pebble. Zoo Med Mopani Wood is included in this tank build. Planted material include Annubias Nana, Dwarf Hairgrass, Hornworth (Coontail) and Java Moss. The RODI water placed in the aquarium was cycled using Dr. Tim's Ammonia and One & Only (nitrifying bacteria) with additional NilocG Thrive and Seachem Flourish Tabs.
*Low Tech aquariums do not include the use of CO2 for rapid growth of plant material.
